REVIEW: Directed by James Wan (The Conjuring, SAW), Insidious: Chapter 2 starts very well, offering a nice level of terror (as others James Wan films), the first 30 minutes are terrifying and there’s a little suspense, but after that 30 minutes the film becomes a stupid comedy, and it’s rare compared to others James Wan films, this movie has a intentionally funny script; This film is like a movie made by amateurs, looks like a failed experiment of Wan, the plot is still consistent with the first film but the result is disappointing and not scary at all, is the worst horror movie of the year or maybe the worst movie of the year in any genre, not recommended, only about 2 scares worth see on YouTube or another site, just as I said it was a huge disappointment because I had very high expectations because this film was directed by Wan, and he never disappointed me, but this horrible movie did, the performances are fine especially Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne, the more loose performances were Danielle Bisutti (Mother Parker Crane) on it’s nothing scary and exaggerated character, and Barbara Hershey (Lorraine) for her poor performance and also greatly exaggerated; There’s an originality storytelling, good photography, but they forgot the most important TERROR!.

NICE: Only a few scares in the first 30 minutes, not so effective for the lack of suspense.
FAIL: Most after the first 30 minutes as already I had said this movie does not offer or terror, or gore, no tension, no suspense, doesn’t offer anything, just a couple of stupid stories poorly executed, nothing of all scares are effective, rather funny and silly. NOT WORTH THE PRICE OF THE TICKET!
WATCH THIS MOVIE IF… you’d laugh with friends a good time, and if you want or if you are eager to see how this silly story is resolved.
PLEASE DON’T WATCH THIS MOVIE IF… You’re a fan of the horror genre, also if you have high expectations, if you are excited about what you saw in the trailer (Because the film isn’t what it promises to be) If you think it’s better or equal to The Conjuring, or the first part Insidious, or if you Don’t have seen already the first movie.
