This section explains how to open the [Printing Preferences] dialog box under Windows Vista/7 or Windows Server 2008/2008 R2.

If you are using the Paid version of Lightroom Classic or CC, you will be able to make use of the Desktop Presets as well. To make sure these presets are right for you I ask that you take a look at my example photos and read through the JBC Preset FAQ's before you make your purchase. Due to the nature of digital file, they are non-returnable. Click on the box titled: Show Lightroom Presets Folder. Double click on Lightroom. Double click on Develop Presets. Copy the folders of your presets into the Develop Presets folder. Restart Lightroom. Use the preset by selecting the photo you want to work with and clicking on the preset name.

  • You cannot change the printer default settings for each user. Settings made in the printer properties dialog box are applied to all users.

  • When the printer driver is distributed from the print server, the setting values specified by the server are displayed as the default for [Printing Defaults...].

  1. On the [Start] menu, click [Control Panel].

    The [Control Panel] window appears.

  2. Click [Printer] in 'Hardware and Sound'.

    • If using Windows 7, click [View devices and printers] in 'Hardware and Sound'.

    • If using Windows Server 2008 R2, click [View devices and printers] in 'Hardware'.

  3. Right-click the icon of the printer you want to use, and then click [Printing Preferences...].

    If using Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2, right-click the icon of the printer you want to use, and then click [Printing preferences].

    The [Printing Preferences] dialog box appears.

  4. Make the necessary settings, and then click [OK].

    The setting is temporarily registered as [Unregistered] in the [One Click Preset List:] area.

  • Depending on the applications, the settings you make here may not be used as the default settings.

  • The [Unregistered] setting is invalid when the other One Click Presets icon is selected. If you wish to confirm the [Unregistered] setting, click [Register Current Settings...]. For details about confirming the setting, see 'Making Printer Settings - One Click Presets'.
