To create the SCARBEE RICKENBACKER® BASS, a Rickenbacker® 4003 with stainless steel Rotosound strings was recorded directly into Pro Tools using premium Mogami cables and a Metric Halo LIO-8 preamp, ensuring that every nuance of this legendary bass is transmitted in its original quality.
Pioneered by SCARBEE, the pick articulations deliver the crisp sound that has been heard on countless rock and pop recordings since the 60s. Bypassing the built-in Rickenbacker® muting suppression system, palm muted articulations have been created with the pick over the bridge for true-to-life performance. Open articulations were played between the pickups, and both were recorded using the unique Rick-O-Sound stereo output for the classic Rickenbacker® tone.
The unique KONTAKT effect chain will add the final component to this Rickenbacker® instrument with the newly released Jump amp from GUITAR RIG for maximum flexibility, as well as ribbon saturator, EQ and compressor from the SOLID MIX SERIES of professional studio effects.
